Information, apart from energy and mobility, is an area of research the KIT plans to extend and deepen according to the KIT 2025 Umbrella Strategy, with major efforts based on its wide scope of disciplines. Research relating to digital transformation will not focus merely on further development of technology, but on the non-technical impacts of change that have to be considered in innovation processes at their earliest stage. For this reason, KIT’s Division II – Informatics, Economics, and Society – includes the humanities to enable mutual research that is fully omplementary.
Issue 2016/3 of lookKIT covers, amongst other topics, the management of research data as a new task of the KIT library and illustrates by the “Designing Technology Futures” Workshop how interdisciplinarity is part of life at KIT.
