Recruitment and Employment of New Employees Subject to Collective Agreements
The personnel support department of the Human Resources Business Unit (PSE) at KIT is responsible for all personnel matters and thus also for the recruitment of personnel. With regard to the procedure for personnel requirements and the selection of applicants, the personnel support department provides intensive support to all organizational units.
In principle, a vacant position at KIT is advertised for approximately one to two weeks. The recruitment process takes four to six weeks after submission of the recruitment application (including reasons for selection) at PSE, as the involvement of the Staff Council must also be ensured in order to exercise its right of co-determination.
Special legal regulations must be observed for applications from severely disabled persons and persons of equal status. Further information on the involvement of the Representatives of Disabled Employees in recruitment procedures can be found here (in German only).
